Channel 309: The Definitive Broadcast
A textual reflection on the ritual pornography of Frequency 309
Pressing play, the first curious thing that strikes me is the list of participants, the performers, who are described with symbols, the kinds composed of lines and arrows intersecting at angles, as if they had been made upon a magic square, perhaps using the Christian names, or a chosen cipher completely unrelated, the symbols are accompanied by an industrial soundtrack designed for consistent plodding, soundtrack to the immediate acts of penetration that we view on the screen, inside abandoned buildings, in corners of trashed places, all shown to the viewer through a black and white filter, the effect being one of disconnection, or of dissociation, if you want the more formal psychological term, though we could also here go into further linguistic clarity, virtue of the neurolinguistic programming community, who tell us that the most appropriate term would be our moving in or moving out of the experience, and in the case of discoloration and contemplating on a flat screen, the effect is one of moving out of the experience, and I could postulate that the interesting effect as spectator is that the viewer could in fact move out not just of the experience before him, the situations presented being so bizarre, so off putting to the regular consciousness that tells us that sex or the human approach to this or that relationship should conform to a certain shape, what we see here is more ritualistic, and it is beyond intimate, it is invasive, invasive and invited by the participants, invited by the viewer also who is here as a voyeur, first and foremost, but he is also as one wishing to have the acts carried out in the video to have an effect on their consciousness, acts of theater, though not because there be any pretending in them, the masked men and women in them, presenting offerings on altars, going out of their way to film their bodies during aggressive and explicit acts of sexual intercourse, setting up a context that emphasizes the act and effaces the personality, an indication perhaps that the personality is a mirage, to what extent that plays a role for Frequency 309, I ignore, what I venture here is only a contribution, a received understanding, learned or observed, no matter, submitted to an understanding Channel 309’s Definitive Broadcast, a ritual, a continuous ritual, in which the interweaving sexual acts in sundry stages give way to the presentation of offerings, always including bones, the bones of animals, the bones of humans, always in masks, always nude and dirty, sometimes pissing, sometimes ejaculating, and the intercalation of harsh lewd act, moving into transgression of norm and into filth, with the movement towards the altar, the comingling of abandonment of personality and norm to then visit divinity, to then invite divinity, into the space, into the act itself, presents this as one path among many, the acts turn more and more bizarre, and we suppose that the recording of the raw material is itself an act, separate from the private sessions the members of Frequency 309 have engaged in, and that the recording of the raw material itself supposes an alternative act, or rather an enhanced form of the act, for now the participants know that through the recording they are being joined by millions of spectators, whose physical manifestations may not touch them, but their sympathetic gazes, their eyes and hands, their own sexual organs, will join them forever, and it surprises one that sometimes there will be an odd and opportunistic filming of something that is not a planned part of the process, a long earthworm squirming in the dirt, a fly moving on a wall, the shots always skewed, always interested in setting an atmosphere reminiscent of the clandestine, designed to take us someplace both commonplace and out-of-the-way, in the enhanced act of recording ritual transgression, pain-induced pleasure, willingly taken, willingly given, so that the editing of such bits and pieces, for whomever was in charge of creating the final draft, becomes also its own ritual, its own engagement with t he forces that were summoned, an artistic creation, I would say, though Frequency 309 seems to have a problem with the terms art, artist, and artistic, a problem that could come from modernist posture on what it means for something to be art, or the so-called postmodernist, the enhancement of the most nonsensical aspects of the modernist, what Frequency 309 present us through their branch Channel 309, specifically in this production, their Definitive Broadcast, could be their effort to challenge such a notion, or one among many efforts to challenge such notions of superfluous art, for in this art, and it is art that they are creating, there is a terrible involvement, something that obliterates the separation between subject and object perhaps, so that their intention is to have consciousness move into intense flow of action, this is, of course, but the interpretation of my own process of experiencing and observing the material, the approach to the process, which more and more seems to include an overwhelming of the senses, as we see a woman being force fed a bottle of liquid, perhaps alcohol, perhaps water, as she wears a mask set up not to allow her to close her jaw, and the fellatio does not stop, and the penetration does not stop, and soon the anus also becomes available, all throughout too, the female protagonists find other objects to perform acts of penetration both on each other or on themselves, we see also some of the women starting to use flagellating instruments, they appear, so far, as symbols of an attitude, we do not yet see them used to the extent that even a full out BDSM production would see them, a man among them wears a large porcine mask, much to think here, much to ponder, regarding the omnivorous and totally animalistic tendency that drive us over the edge, a drive that Frequency 309 is riding with purpose, and as I have come to guess, for guess is all I can and will at the moment, given their comments and responses in the past to my inquiries and comments, that the intent is to become extremely analytical, a response that I did not expect, and a response that also gives us further clues, further avenues to guess, as mere spectators, as the third point of view in this ritualistic act of transgression, and that is to ponder, though it would be even better to practice, the capacity to remain profoundly analytical when driving the senses overboard, what we may know from psychology, especially the applied one, oriented towards results and practical application for the man and woman on the street, such as neurolinguistic programming, is that by carrying such intense analytical formulation with the mind when the senses are overloaded, consciousness dissociates, dissociates but does not freeze, the capacity to dissociate and move through profound sensory exploration drives into states of empowerment over physical existence, not to mention ritual, since ritual is itself is a programming, though the specific ritual and programming used by Frequency 309 is ignored by this writer, though they may have codified it in their many written works, written works that require a certain knowledge, a certain teaching, perhaps, so that they are relatively obscure to the outsider, even if one ventures a guess, even if one makes their own formulations based on them, since, after all, and following questions that were answered for us in the manner of corrections and clarifications, these operations are based on precise and specific studies of code and symbol, formulas from ancient traditions, diverse and intertwined traditions, and as the edition of the video continues, there are more and more ritual steps shown, interactions with a skull, sliding under a bed to stay in an act, another woman receiving punishment, another fly, always the flies, and again scenarios we visited before, recorded acts that show now a hotel room, writings that incite going over the edge, when desperate is not enough, we see in writing, and it hit us, so far into the material presented, that whatever the traditions followed, the man here is always dominant, there is no other way, this is simply an observation, for many would be curious about this dynamic, whether the man enters also into desperation and pain, yet it seems to be the women, the males, as far as we can see here, though that may reveal not so much a prejudice, as certain over politicized opinions may forward as opinions they confuse with fact, but rather with the natural tendency of the participants, for the intent here is to go over down the road of impulse, and not to confront, not to invert, which is a much more violent and different kind of occult operation, the enacting of things that entirely disgust you, that are against all that stimulate you, and we can see these rituals, for there does seem to be a manner of ritual, in the use of certain symbols, in the use of bones, in the seeking out of atmospheres on the fringes of urban existence, unadorned, bare, decayed, designed to be utilitarian, then abandoned, not even repurposed, improvisations that lead the participants more and more over the edge of their own impulse, to then come back to the flame, to the altar, so that the energies are redirected, given over, to a god, to the gods, to themselves, to the other participants, to a current in the universe, I do not know, though in an act of entering the act without thinking of anything else, the act in intense engagement of all faculties, of all faculties, the sensing body, the reasoning mind, the imaginative faculties thereof, for it is here that the archetypal, the use of masks, the direction that the altar provides, the choice of bones and skulls, not randomly but purposefully selected, orienting the mind of the participants, the editors, and even you, the watcher, the audience, who becomes increasingly estranged from the normal waking world, and you now have a choice, to drift into a reverie, or to become more and more present, driven by the explicit acts, and some will be aroused perhaps, for there is no wrong answer, no wrong answer, and more or less efficient routes, the question of efficiency is dependent on a notion of the world that is utilitarian, totalitarian, adhering to materialism, the waste time is not so much using more of time to get somewhere, at least from the occult perspective, but in not being aware of what you are doing, the acts of exposure, of extreme aggression and lewd satisfaction from pleasure to pain, are used to enter the world, to live in every cell and nerve ending of the flesh, to embody this vehicle that each of us has been given, while activating the mind and seeing things happen as formulas, as things one can move and manipulate, without stopping to contemplate, so the process, such as is becoming apparent to me, has to do with an external rushing and an internal contemplation happening at the same time, willed on purpose, invited, lived into, breathed into, given new life, raising the commercialized and neutered act of superficial pornography, even in its most involved aspects, and it restitutes the sexual act to one of divine presence, here it is embodied in what has come to be known as the dark, and it is find here because it has been chased away elsewhere, it is not that you could not find such a process elsewhere, theoretically, it could be found a thousand different ways, but now we have a neutered society, a sterilized society, and to find fecundity it is necessary to seek the darkness, to seek in deed and symbol that which has been shunned at large, so that in entering those external forms that are nowhere else to be found, consciousness clicks in, it understands a unique doorway opens, one to the divine, though the words are extra, in any case, it understands the experience of the divine even if it uses other words, it is the hypostasis of all that is consciousness, it is compression, though I should move away from these pronouncements, they are my own and are not the act, they are not the ritual, the irreplaceable set of steps and angles and contemplation of the video representations as the Definitive Broadcast of Channel 309, what becomes important, rather than the words or the abstract concepts, the words or the task, and also their evasion, for I know how important the evasion of concrete boxes is to flexibility, to the ability to morph from one perspective to the other and to ultimately come to stand firmly and grasp the world that surrounds us, you inside of yourself, I inside of myself, the participants in the video each inside of themselves, so that the actions are not judged, the actions are a medium of fleshly movement, and consciousness experiences, experiences more, moves, and the lessons embed in the flesh, they burrow their own little astral pockets, and to do so one must watch without imagination, if you notice all of the production of Frequency 309 at large, Channel 309 being one of several such media, uses a very minimalist set of identifiers, some words, heavy nomenclature, but in those symbols and in that heavy nomenclature the message and the intent is for everything to become action, each gesture and message says that, go and do, go and live, and do with extreme presence, to the point where something extreme comes out, something you would not have done, like vomiting on someone’s head, your friend’s head, while they allow it, while they observe it, and they see, motionless, they contemplate the otherworldly welcomed into their world, into our world, they embody the sensations, even those of disgust, but they do not shirk away, they do not run away, and to do the same as spectators is the least we can do, not to count ourselves members of Frequency 309, for that requires entering into the practices, it entails you following such protocols, learning perhaps also the theory, as far as it benefits and advances you along the designated path that is defined as Frequency 309, I think, so the spectator should at least not run away from what they are seeing, nor should they run away from their emotions, joking on it, trying to carry the experience in themselves by manipulating authentic sensations and moving them into some other space, the space of the permitted, would violate the operation, it would take you out of the place into which you are being drawn through the contemplation of the Definitive Broadcast, you must stay, stay with the image, stay with the beat that has been placed behind with a specific purpose and intent, stay with your reactions, and honor them, as it were, though I myself ignore the specific analytical process that Frequency 309 follows, which I do not, though I understand this experience as audience, and as walker of the planes of existence, in a similar way, a way that we recognize in each other, for different reasons, to come at the material as audience, all the same, as an external agent, places you on an outer circle, and you do not escape the dark touch of the femmes fatales, the violation of the scorpion phalluses, you are you, this person who watches, who feels their body react, to pain or pleasure, in rushing sensation to enter or flee, and in this there is a great difference, a further separation, from conventional pornography, for in them you are never supposed to remain the spectator, but enter a kind of fantasy, identifying with one of the participants, or with someone related to the participants, or perhaps even with the cameraman, who knows, you are supposed to be you, sitting in front of this screen, with this personality, with this life history, and in watching them intently, you are drawn to yourself, a thousand thoughts fly across your mind, a thousand sensations of various types pulse through your body, you may even become annoyed or bored, profoundly disgusted, and if this were mere entertainment, you would get up and go, and that would not be an occult operation, this is an occult operation, and so you are not supposed to get up and go, to leave behind what bothers you, to go get a drink and think about something else, you look at all those things that arise within you, and you put them on a canvas, you see them arise and arise, and blur your vision, and as they blur your vision, as they blur your reason, you do not move out of the way, you stare straight ahead, this is the operation, to my understanding at least, or at least the operation that I would recommend as spectator, and see increasingly involved scenes develop before your very eyes, increasingly archetypical, fallen head first into experience, surgical cuts, to add this component, as if experimenting, stopped, and every act of divine embodiment, of theater that goes beyond, surrounded by skulls placed atop of sticks, a specific reference, a specific frequency of action, the essence of who we are, at base, a perceiving center placed atop a flexible spine, we are serpents who grew appendages to move and manipulate the world, before you on the screen a satan, a Baphomet, clean and insistent penetration, soft, fast, fat or thin, dressed or naked, it makes no difference, and all culminates in fetishistic acts before the altar, before the directing symbols, the programming signs, or rather, in this case, the signs of deprogramming, and the idea here, according to an occult current, is that to deprogram an opposite programming must be instituted, the question later becomes, if the participant of alternative programming is able to attain perspective and to be free of the need for everything that restricts them as an individual, which includes the harness, the crutches, the addiction, of tradition and of any semblance of authority, and we might answer in the affirmative, when you have traditions such as this whose aim it is to attack first and foremost the sense of culpability, of propriety, and all that remains is to destroy the sense of inherent loyalty to group, all of which is reflected in the constant choice to shoot in places of dereliction, waste, oblivion, night, and death.
